Dr. Jennifer Chambers is Chief Medical Officer of Geneia, responsible for clinical strategy and leadership across the organization.
Prior to becoming CMO of Geneia, Dr. Chambers served as Vice President and Chief Medical Director for Capital BlueCross. Prior to joining Capital BlueCross she was Director of the Palliative Medicine Program at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and also served as an attending physician on the Academic Hospitalist Service. She was involved in resident and medical student education in internal and palliative medicine. Her community services currently revolves around the care and support of individuals with special needs. Dr. Chambers is a member of the board of directors for Keystone Human Services Inc. and serves as board chairman for Keystone Autism Services, both located in Harrisburg, PA.
Dr. Chambers earned her B.S. in Medical Technology from Millersville University, an MBA from Penn State University and M.D. from Penn State University College of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine and in hospice and palliative medicine. Dr. Chambers is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is a member of the PA State Council of the American College of Physicians. In addition she is a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association National Council of Physician and Pharmacy Executives.
Dr. Chambers resides in Hummelstown, Pa. with her husband, Mike, and three children.
