Kelly M. Brennan is the director of the health education and consulting at Geneia. Her responsibilities include overseeing the health education staff whose primary role is to support employers in building a strong employee health management platform, and educating individuals about health information. She also oversees the disease management unit, whose primary role is to educate and support individuals living with chronic conditions.
Prior to her work at Geneia, Kelly served as the director of health education and lifestyle management at Capital BlueCross where she worked for eight years. She previously worked as an STD/HIV service coordinator for Schuylkill Wellness Services, Pottsville, PA. In this position, she provided case management for individuals infected or affected by HIV andHIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted disease education to individuals in a variety of settings including: workplaces, schools, community groups, and correctional institutions.
Kelly has spoken at nine national conferences on such topics as The Use of Behavioral Change Interventions to Improve Care Management Outcomes and Proven Innovations in Chronic Condition Management, Health Coaching and Member Engagement.
Kelly’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Education in Health Education from The Pennsylvania State University. She became a Master Certified Health Education Specialist from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) in April 2011. Kelly also is a Certified Intrinsic Coach.
