Geneia CEO addresses Health System Recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic Summit

Harrisburg, PAGeneia, a healthcare analytic solutions and services company that is simplifying the transition to value-based care, announces its president and CEO, Heather Lavoie, will discuss the role of social determinants of health (SDoH) and population health in health system recovery at the Virtual Summit on Health System Recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic.

“With more than 60 percent of people say they have been adversely impacted by social determinants during the pandemic and they will wait one to six months to seek routine care, we know health system efforts to restart regular healthcare will be quite challenging,” said Lavoie. “Geneia’s work with hospitals and physicians suggests a digital front door strategy that lets patients know they are truly known and cared for is essential.”

Lavoie’s panel, The Role of Population Health and Social Determinants of Health in Health System Recovery, will be June 25 at 2:05 pm Eastern. Hosted by David B. Nash, MD, MBA, founding dean emeritus and Dr. Raymond C. & Doris N. Grandon professor of health policy, Jefferson College of Population Health, panelists will include:

  • Dave A. Chokski, MD, MSc, FACP, vice president and chief population health officer, NYC Health + Hospitals, CEO, NYC Health + Hospitals Accountable Care Organization
  • Luis LaSalvia, MD, MBA, vice president and global medical officer, Siemens

The Virtual Summit on Health System Recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic runs June 22-25, 2020. For more information, visit: healthsystemcovidrecovery.com.
