Bill Hasling serves as director of enterprise data architecture, responsible for the software planning and design of Geneia’s products. In this role he creates infrastructure and development strategies, and provides the vision for product development to ensure optimized performance, quality and usability. He is a true collaborator and problem solver, helping find simple solutions to complex problems.
Bringing a wealth of healthcare and medical-system engineering knowledge and experience, he joined Geneia in 2017 after more than nine years as a software architect with Siemens Medical Systems/Cerner Corporation. In a prior role at Siemens Corporate Technology, he spent nearly three decades as a software engineering researcher. He began his career as a software engineer at Teknowledge Corporation.
Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles where he graduated magna cum laude, and earned a master’s degree in computer science and electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a published author and has been awarded two patents. He loves working in healthcare and finding better ways to use data to improve patient care, reduce costs and provide increased transparency to patients.
